Empowering Leaders and Supporting a Community of Practice in Online Education

The in-person all-day retreat aims to empower higher education leaders with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to effectively lead and support online education initiatives. Participants will engage in collaborative activities, discussions, and workshops to foster a strong community of practice. They will also explore strategies for enhancing online education initiatives throughout the state of Maryland and across the region. Participants will learn how to foster a culture of belonging at their institution, creating an inclusive environment where all constituent groups feel valued, respected, and connected. Throughout the day, interactive elements such as panel discussions, group activities, and participant-led discussions will be incorporated to maximize engagement and learning. Participants will also receive information on resources and tools to support them in their leadership roles in online education.
